| The Bel RX75, Escort SR7 and V1 Remote Radar Detectors are the 3 best remote installed, hidden radar detectors available today.
The Bel RX75 was released from the BEL arsenal in 2003. Since Escort purchased Beltronics in 2003, Escort products are now produced by the Beltronics manufacturing facility in Canada, thus the BEL RX75 and the Escort SR7 are equal in performance.
With 36 years experience, previous Bel radar detectors have always been rated in the top 3 ranking, but this product is clearly rated #1 today. This is due to Bels’ focus on detection sensitivity, false alert prevention, focusing on the newest radar gun features.
Bel is still advancing its capabilities over the competition, which is shown by equaling Valentine performance.
The Valentine 1 is manufactured by Valentine with its latest release in late 2004 (adding POP3), but Tiger Lily Products provides the exclusive V1 Remote, which places the Valentine 1 radar detector into a very strong, RDD resistant, water tight aluminum enclosure, adds polycarbonate end plates, cabling, remote installation hardware, cockpit displays and audio controls. |
| Photo Detection |
The Valentine 1 is superb in detecting photo speed traps such as Truvelo, American Traffic Systems, Gatso, MultaNova to the front or from the rear and provides advance warning to alert the driver. Bel RX75 and Escort SR7 are excellent in detecting photo speed traps to the front only. |
| Laser Detection |
Valentine 1, RX75 and SR7 are equal in laser detection, but laser detection by itself is not good to the driver, since laser guns ( Kustom, Stalker, LTI, Laser Atlanta, Riegl & Laveg)are aimed at a specific vehicle and can detect the speed of the vehicle instantly, therefore, laser needs to be jammed, not detected.
The jamming will cause the laser guns to go blank display, during which time you adjust your speed accordingly, and then shut your jammer off.

| Radar Detect |
Both the RX75 and SR7 are identical at detecting X, K, Ka radar. The V1 can detect X, Ku, K, Ka, POP3 radar, making it the better in overall radar detection, but equal in detection performance. The V1 Remote has 1 distinct advantage at detecting front and rear radar, where the RX75 and SR7 can only detect front radar.
The RX75 and SR7 are invisible to VG2 and invisible to Spectre II beyond 286 feet. The V1 Remote is invisible to VG2 and Spectre II beyond 100 feet, slightly better performance than the RX75 and SR7. None of these products are totally invisible to Spectre III. |
| Remote Display |
All three units provide remote displays with red alerts. The RX75 and SR7 have better displays for L/X/K/Ka alerts, and easier programming. The V1 Remote has a single display with red alerts and front/rear/disde alerts for X/K/Ka/L alerts. |
| Voice Alerts |
The RX75 and SR7 offer optional voice alerts and an in dash bezel for the alert displays; but the V1 Remote does not offer voice alerts. All 3 units provide audio and visual alerts.
